Right so as previous posts suggests I’m saving up to buy a house- the biggest thing I’m ever going to get to buy. I don’t care about getting a nice car or flashy handbag (well not that flashy) but my god, I could go to town on the kind of house I want.
Why am I finding it so hard to save my money. Scratch that…why is it so easy to spend money?
I bought (ordered) my new winter coat last week, it was a big purchase coming in at just over Β£100 buy I’ll use it for at least 2-4 years makin it good value, an I live by the idea of you buy cheap you buy twice. Anyway, I found a voucher code for 20% off and bought ‘brilliant’ ill save money…so I quickly stuck a pair of Β£80 boots in the basket as well.
I didn’t even have to get my card out of my purse, all I did was sign in and click order…and there was my money gone (I know my card details off by heart anyway, proper addicted to Internet shopping). It was just so easy.
That 20% voucher saved me Β£62 but I ended up spending over Β£150…even as I’m writing this, i know how crazy and silly spending that amount of money is when im saving, but there’s a part of me patting myself in the back, congratulating myself on my thriftiness, god I’m gullible π
I’m going to have to learn how to sell stuff on eBay or else I’m done for.
